Dr Laura Troskie

Dr Laura Troskie obtained her MBChB degree from the University of Pretoria.  She completed her internship training at King Edward Hospital and her community service at Greytown Hospital, both in KZN.  She has a passion for health and fitness and is a triathlete herself, partaking in Ironman 70.3 and Ultra Events.  Dr Troskie has a special interest in family medicine, children urology and women’s health.  She aims to provide professional, friendly and holistic medical care.  She looks forward to meeting you and your family and assisting in any health needs you may have.  

Dr Deserè Ferreira

Dr Deserè Ferreira qualified from the University of Pretoria in 2003 and did her community service at Natal Command in KZN.  Her dream is to provide excellent family treatment in a friendly and homely environment.  She is a mother of 4 and while she loves her children, she enjoys working and tackling new challenges every day.  Although her mother tongue is Afrikaans, she is fully bilingual.  She has a special interest in depression, women’s health, aesthetics, weight loss and small surgical procedures.  She also keeps up to date with the latest trends in treating ADD and ADHD.

Dr Megan Broughton studied at the University of Pretoria and completed her years of internship and community service in Johannesburg. Following this, Megan followed her heart to Durban where she worked in Addington A&E for 2 years before joining private general practice.  Megan is passionate about treating the whole family in a calm, friendly environment and treating each patient in a holistic manner. Her special interests include palliative care, women’s health, children and geriatrics.  Megan looks forward to joining Umhlanga GP and meeting you and your family

Meet our caring nursing sisters.  Sheri Bodmer and Kaylene Jacobs are both registered nursing sisters.  They assist the doctors with procedures and IVI treatments in the procedure room.  They love their patients and the patients love them!
